Hi, I have not used either Svbony scopes you mentioned, but I have owned & used several achromats like ST-80 f/5, WO Megrez 80mm f/7, Kenko 120mm f/5, Celestron 150mm f/5 & SkyWatcher 150mm f/8. I would think the Svbony sv48 90mm f/5.5 achromatic may be alright for just low-power viewing but it prob...

Hi Astrolover I had a C5 OTA before, and also helped a friend with Nexstar 5SE. Is this a good telescope for a beginner? Yes I think so. It is at the westernmost part of West Coast Park, at the waterfront area next to Beach Volleyball Court. You can drive to Macdonalds (West Coast Park) carpark and walk down to the waterfront area. This passerby was trying to shoot the conjunction with a 800mm lens, he was happy to view it through the 120mm f/5 refractor on 21 Dec 2020.
