Looking for tripod

Hi everyone,
just came back from holiday of nights. I am asking for a
Orion Equatorial Telescope Mount or a Orion SkyView Pro EQ Mount at a reasonable prise. My Nexstar's mount is going out o fashion now, so i am looking for an exchange.

Hehehe, the answer to your question is a definite yes. You will be able to see the planets using whatever equipment, even your naked eyes. However, the quality and magnification comes from the scope and the eye piece, but don't worry too much, the nexstar series will do just fine in viewing planets....

Welcome to the forum. The two scopes are both good for beginners but in my opinion you shoud start out with the galileoscope. It is cheaper and you trains you to understand the night sky without the use of a motor.

Welcome! I see you got a pretty good start on the Nexstar 6. The problem is most probably what they had mentioned. Try to see if your finder is properly aligned in daytime. Focus the scope first on the moon or any other bright object before adding the barlow. This will allow for the best focus.
