Personally, i would suggest an SCT or refractor for the sake of portability and storage. What happens if there are great skies but the person is not free to bring you out? Its also quite heavy to lug around to a multi-storey carpark unless you take it apart properly. I finally know whats an SCT. Sc...

@ weixing - thanks. but i am still considering all of the telescopes available. cant really decide on one.

I've heard that Schmidt-Cassegrains are portable yet powerful. But because of that, it is very expensive. Are there any recommendations for any telescopes for that kind?

isit considered a good stargazing condition to be able to see 20 + stars or isit just a normal view in east coast? Oh yes, about that. You are lucky to catch stars.
