Thanks for the help on searching but anyway I found a resort further north near Mersing at Air Papan. Not sure if any of you guys have heard of it before - Air Papan Beach Resort. No idea how it will be but going up there this weekend. Haha. Anyone been there before?

Try using live view to zoom in on the sunspots and focus? Hope that helps...

Ok seems interesting. The solar filter I have was bought a while back from astrobargains.com... Its a loose sheet though but I think I remember it is thousand oaks (Its black in colour). Just wondering, would it be better to buy one of those ready made/glass filters?
