LOL, Gary.
Dog will make her appearance as soon as her dog walker clears her (I mean her children's) school exams. Bet dog is looking forward to the next stargazing outing, she sure enjoyed all the attention. Tks for the links.

Re: Summer Milky way from Mersing
I think your shots here are impressive (processed and unprocessed).
If I'd like to learn a thing or two, say watch how y'all mount your camera on the telescope, does anyone do this in Singapore? I don't own a telescope. I only own a DLSR with a decent tripod, and remote trigger.
Thanks.
Elnie

Re: Stargazing @ Toa Payoh tonight -- 7 Nov 2011
It's a clear night tonight (11-Nov-11). Pity y'all aren't at TPL.
I've been meaning to peer through the telescope but have been missing you guys. Timing never right for me.
=(
Hi Gary, would you please tweet early if you're planning another public star gazing event at TPL.
Thank you.
Elnie

Re: Moon looks unusually orangey red on 10 Nov 2011
It became more white as it rose higher. I noticed the same thing today. Freshly risen, it's a nice yellow, then it loses the yellow and becomes whiter as it rose higher.

Moon looks unusually orangey red on 10 Nov 2011
Hi,
Did anyone notice the moon tonight? It's full and unusually orange. Almost like the blood moon during the lunar eclipse a few months ago. Does anyone know why it's so orange? I'd really like to know.
Am trying to take a picture of it, but the clouds keep coming and going.
Thanks.
Elnie

Re: Some Jupiter Shots
Hi ebeyonder, I came across this article "Oh, those crazy satellites" in the Sep 2011 edition of Astronomy magazine, and think this might be what your white line is. A floating corpse. I'm copying and pasting bits and pieces of info from the article: "The broad category of tumblers co...

Wow. That's really nice.
I know this may be a silly question, but what is that white line on the left of the photos?
