id truly like to go....
but i dont have a car....
just scope, a camera and tent.
i'd be willing to:
- drive (dun have local license or drivers insurance :D)
- contribute gas money
- provide kopi-o
or we could just rent a bus/van

the stupidest thing i can remember doing was when i was a student, on an intro class at the observatory in Lembang (Bandung), i accidentally shined a flashlight at one of the big OTA's that was in the middle of an observation. i dont know if i ruined the observation or not. this was a long long time...

we should definitely start an awareness campaign about wasted light going up. we should also work together with some architects and artists on how best to light towers, buildings, art works that use billions of watts, but mostly pointed up! we can have talks, posters, astro photo contests, public vi...
