WTS: Nexstar goto mount for C8/C6 [SOLD]

Looking to sell my Celestron Nexstar mount.

The mount is a single fork arm with goto, so you don’t need to lug around counter weights. Comes with a sturdy tripod.

I bought a rechargeable 7.2 AH battery locally, which can power the mount all night. Yes, I will throw in the battery too.

[SOLD]

Hubble IMAX 3D documentary - back in theaters

The Hubble movie/documentary is running now in Shaw JCube and Lido. Lots of empty seats - that too in the middle of the hall - for this weekend. Don't miss!

Re: Europa Report (Movie)

Hi,
Did anyone watch this movie? Was it released at all in Singapore?
I saw the first half of it on a plane. Seemed overly emotional to me.
So I just wanted to check if anyone else saw it and did you think it improves in the second half :)

Thanks!

Absolutely stunning effects! I LOVED this movie!!
Now imagine if they'd cast Jodie Foster instead of Sandra Bullock ... I'd have gone mad in ecstasy :)

Re: New nova - NOVA DELPHINI 2013

Hi Gavin,
Thanks for the links! Once I saw the familiar S&T sky maps, I was able to find it with my binos.
And yes, I also learnt the difference between a nova and supernova just now, so I edited my first post :)

Thanks!

Re: Group buy for the Backyard Astronomer's Guide

Hi,
If it's not too late, can I jump "off the fence" and onto the bandwagon? :P

New nova - NOVA DELPHINI 2013

Hi,
There's a new nova in the sky:

Can someone guide me how to load this object in Stellarium?

Thanks!

Re: Asteroid 1998 QE2 - now visible

After lots of perseverance, I was finally able to spot the elusive space rock!
A faint dot, moving through Libra.

Thanks for the inspiration and the links, Gavin :)
