Hi guys, Thanks for the advices. I will think through your recommendations. I'm not daunted by collimation.. just that really hard to find the time and the good sky combination to do a proper collimation. I will look into making an artificial star light... can't get those optical fibers (single mode...

Wow.. didn't expect so much reaction haha. Anyway.. I got a C5 but it is rather out of collimation. Is there a way to do rough collimation (by not using a star) for a SCT? I read that collimation has to be done on stars.. but it is hard to find a day when I have time and when the sky is right enough...

Yup... but was thinking of getting a good terrestrial scope.. and one scope that can bring overseas (on an airplane) to places where there are dark skies unlike spore. But the cost is expensive...I have already a good 8 inch scope that will be purely used for stargazing in spore, msia and indonesia ...

Hmm.. thinking of getting TV-60 APO... small and very portable with good optics and mechanics. (I intend to use it for astronomy (wide field, planets, open clusters, double stars) and terestrial viewing). However... I would have to save up a lot of money for it. So.. was just checking out what good ...

1.25 inch diagonal

Hi guys.... I have been searching the net for 1.25 inch diagonals. What brand and model 1.25 inch diagonals would you guys highly recommend? I read that the TV Everbrite 1.25 inch diagonal is very good... but at the same time very costly. Are there any other diagonals that are very good.. but not so...

Orion telescopes sells bags that can fit the OTA. However.. it is from USA. Also bringing around the scope and tripod/mount is really going to be very hard unless you are a muscle man. :) If taking public transport, it would be better that 2 people go so that one can carry the OTA (plus accessories)...

Hmm... The material science course is about those metal stuff (eutectoid.. iron..steel.. heat treatment.. blah)... plastics.. etc... to me it is rather boring....really zzz reading the material science textbook. That's why I took EEE (photonics specialization).
