I have the f4 IS version and it weight is manageable even for travel. Bought mine from HK, saved about S$200 and can use credit card.

I too am waiting on more information on the 450D.

Unfortunately, with my canon lenses, switching camera bodies to a different brand becomes too costly an exercise.
