Citizen Science Projects
Hi guys! Some of you might know about this already, but I shall post it here in case some of you aren't aware of the zooniverse citizen science projects . I discovered this several months ago and have taken part in some of them, mostly astronomy stuff. These projects let you contribute to ongoing re...

Re: Rigel Quickfinder for Nexstar 6SE
For me, blu-tack is good enough even for Telrad. But you may need to align it very slightly for each observing session. Rigel Quickfinder for Nexstar 6SE
Well, the Celestron finder that came with my 6SE died last night. I tried changing the batteries already and it still didn't work. Honestly, it was a POS and I would have changed it anyway. Now I have been looking for finders to replace it and I really liked the Telrad, but it's probably too large a...

Bringing a scope on a plane
Hi everyone, Has anyone here brought their telescope on a flight before? I plan to take my 6 inch SCT with me, with the OTA and fork arm as hand carried luggage, while the mount will go in the cargo. Of course, both will be kept in bags padded with towels and bubble wrap. However, I'm still worried ...
