ah i was considering embarking on dsos with a 80mm refractor. but im going easy on the budget first so just asking around. if LP in SG really prohibits DSO photography then ill back off for now hehe

Bumping this! went to 1.400259,103.880035 last night at saw some dogs despite it being a prime spot for some imaging so thats a goner. was hoping if the folks here are aware of any new spots?

Ah thanks! I was thinking if I have "milked" my scope to its limit. Could I sharpen more through focus? Play around with exposure and gain? More frames to stack or less? Or just wait for better seeing conditions?

Stretching it to 300x, i have taken pics of Saturn and Jupiter but frankly I feel the 6se could do more. Not sure if it has to do with collimation, viewing conditions, or lack of the right filter.
