Re: SQM Values for Mersing

A Taiwanese group that visited Mersing in May 2019 brought along a SQM device. According to 9 readings, SQM yielded an average reading of 21.36, with values ranging from 21.30 to 21.40.

This puts the area in the Bortle 3 level.

SQM Values for Mersing

Hi all! I was just wondering if anyone has ever taken the SQM value for Mersing trips (mostly to Sri Kandi resort)? Or does anyone have an SQM device available to help measure the SQM value there? I require this value to do a location comparison of potential stargazing sites.

Thanks a lot!

I'm planning to get a light photography set-up, but that may run me rather close to the theoretical limit of the SGpro, hence it would be nice if I could ha...
