focal ratio would be calculated by dividing the focal length by it's aperture for example , the aperture of ur scope is 127mm and it's focal length is 1500mm. therefore, the focal ratio would be 11.8. by adding a barlow, it would double the magnification of ur eyepiece.... i don't think it will affe...

the peak would be on 19 nov. however, the max number of meteors even under the best skies would only range from 10-15 per hour.

just an additional info , the max number of meteors would be around 10-15 per hour even under the best skies. yeah... so... dun have high hopes because last year was the leonids meteor storm. we will only have leonids meteor shower this year =(.

it could be cloudy around ur area.... the skies around 1am were good. no high altitude clouds and relatively dark.

the skies last night were not too bad. i managed to see m42 without any optical aid. sirius and canopus were both shining radiantly. last night was one of the clearest nights i have experienced in singapore. heh =p

from my own experience, the televue 32mm plossl and the 25mm SMA gives us different views. A few months back, while i was at dempsey, chee chien was kind enough to lend me the 32mm plossl and image showed has a relatively large difference. the 32mm tv plossl gives an image with a darker background, ...
