Even with the star adventurer 400mm is quite a stretch... But if you're resourceful enough then never say never. I guess it depends on your expectations too. Good luck!

Not an uncommon thing to do on trips to malaysia although that's only for a day or two. I think the main concern would be the electronics if it sits outside for too long.

Always nice to see galaxies taken in sg, and pretty damn incredible without a tracker!! ISO doesn't really make a difference because most modern cameras are pretty iso invariant, but still higher iso (higher gain) might have slightly lower read noise.
