Hi guys! Digging this old thread up because I've decided to begin cooling of my 450D too. Any chance if you could share how you powered the cooling module? I'm thinking of using AC via a 12V adapter of some sort (perhaps cigarette lighter) but no idea if that would be safe...

Hmmm I don't think there is a need to drift align (I'm supposing you're using an eq mount). Just ensure your mount is well pointed to the north pole. I find carefully using my phones compass, inclinometer and GPS gives pretty decent results. For stacking you could refer to the guide on Registax webs...

Managed to image Mars last thursday night under decent seeing. I've also begun to learn to use WinJupos which, unfortunately like all other astrophotography software, is not very intuitive.
