can these be seen in normal visual astronomy with Nexstar 8SE?

I keep wanting to have a sort of sling under my tripod where I can rest my ipad, charts and other stuff - rather than put on floor. Do they exist?

I must say that I find I hard to see any constellations because the eye does not see the stars like this. Scorpio is unmistakable when viewing with the naked eye.
