Hi Richard, The tail stub can be seen barely through the 4-inch refractor but is expected to brighten up as days goes by. Nevertheless, whatever the case, it is certainly a hot imaging item. The core is estimated to be non-stellar-like and diffuse, about 10 arc-minutes across, probably around the sa...

The cresent is due to the phases that Venus experiences as it traverses the orbit around the Sun resulting in the effect of different amounts of illuminance on the planet as seen from Earth. On the other hand, the transit of Venus occurs when the planet goes in front of the sun as seen from Earth. T...

C/2002T7 Comet Linear Image Mosaic (270404)

Hi all, Here is another attempt at Comet Linear, this time round, a 3-piece mosaic was tried on the "dusty-snow-ball" Exposures had been increased to 180seconds since there was almost no presence of thin cloud cover towards the eastern horizon. Observation of the comet started at 5:26AM an...

That's why I mentioned using software for reliance. But frankly, even with the change in RA&DEC for a given date, the change is small relative to the visibility of the comet (unless you are talking about seeing mag 10-12 or dimmer comets), and the given RA and DEC is enough to spot a mag 4 comet...

Are you incidently referring to something like this: http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/iau/Ephemerides/Comets/2002T7.html which is the ephemeris for T7? It is pretty straight forward as you just need to refer to the date of observation, take note of the RA and DEC coordinates. Ignore the magnitude estimate...
