Yes agree with you guys. The smaller the F-ratio, the harder it is for the eyepiece to correct the coma as the ray angle is steeper. For on-axis rays (paraxial case).. the eyepiece performs the best as the angle is very small or zero; that's why star collimation requires to put the defocus star in t...

Hi Arief,
Are you using the microstar mount? I just recently bought the microstar deluxe and the paint seems to come out quite easily. Does your's come out easily? Does your mount have both tension knobs for altitude and azimuth? Mine have and looks a bit different from yours. Wonder why.

I have seen a meteor once thru the eyepiece and have seen a few times satellite moving thru the eyepiece. Usually the satellites are seen moving during twilight and they move in a nonlinear fashion different from an aircraft. Also, they don't blink like normal aircraft with two blinking lights at th...

Hi guys, I don't mind driving up. I can fit two people in the car since the car I drive is rather small and also because of the equipment. However, I need a navigator as I don't know how to go to the observation site.

Hi.. you can check this website... http://skyandtelescope.com/observing/skychart/article_1220_1.asp# The starchart can be adjusted for location in Singapore and the time. You can also print out the star chart. One suggestion is to find the brightest star first. If you recognise the bright stars, it ...

Yup.. getting a 50mm finder helps a lot in finding objects. I suggest you get the 50mm UPRIGHT kind of finder as straight through finders are inverted image. From your telescope picture, your finder is straight through meaning inverted image, so you would have to rotate your star chart 180 degree to...
