Crux, The Southern Cross. Shot on Olympus OMD EM5 with a Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 45mm F1.8. 45mm, ISO 200, 4s, f/2.2. Stacked 100 times in Siril and touched up on GIMP.

The astromod cam was $165 on carousell. A bit old, but still works fine.

Noob astrophotography

Astrophotography by @perchloratepenguin and @xorinet, noobs to astrophotography. As we are students, our budget is low so we do astrophotography without tracking mounts.

Oh I see. I am only going to Desaru as it is a family trip, if not Mersing might be much better. I did some research on the Sedili site, TASOS seems to have organised quite a few trips there to stargaze before. Shooting omega centauri without a star tracker?

Hey!

The image shows a small blob which should be omega centauri. It was shot at 12mm.
Has anyone managed to capture a magnified image of Omega Centauri without a star tracker before? Any tips would help. Thanks!
