Re: DIY Barn Door Tracker
Wood: Tombalek.com Hardware: RS Components or Monotaro Alignment to Polaris is really only necessary if doing high power and/or super long exposure. In my opinion, neither is recommended for a barndoor tracker. Just point roughly north and level, and shoot wide. Thanks so much for the help! I'm kin...

DIY Barn Door Tracker
Wondering if anyone has made a barn door tracker before? I know there was a post previously on this forum regarding that, but unfortunately the pictures are currently inaccessible. I would mainly just like to know where I can get most of the materials, such as customised wood boards, gears, nuts and...

I would just like to know what places you guys recommend in Singapore that are comparatively darker for some Milky Way imaging and telescope observing? Preferably in the East, but feel free to suggest...

Re: TASOS?
Hi DCWZ, You seem quite critical about the Astro Club that is qualified enough for you to join. As you already concluded, TASOS is the largest club locally. So what are you waiting for ? What is your definition of "established people and communities" ... like doctors, lawyers, architect, ...

Re: TASOS?
Hi DCWZ, I would think that most Tasos members are like you and me. You can meet them on Friday evenings at the science centre whenever they conduct astronomy sessions. Or drop by Astro Scientific to talk shop with Albert too. :) Thanks lots for the advice!! Anyone else has any more experience to s...
