I'm looking for a simple Alt-Az that can comfortably hold a C8 w/ 2" accesories. Prefereably something with slow-mo controls.

On a tight budget.

Any suggestions?

I think you should actually get your feet wet by joining a few star parties and gatherings, touching/using some of the mounts to get a feel of what they are and how they work.

Then you can make a more informed decision rather than posting a WTB every few days for a different mount.

GPD payload is way more than 7.5lbs la ... more like 30lbs .... even for astrophotography .... (on a well balanced "shorter" scope like an SCT)
