New Observation Site in Yio Chu Kang

Found a very flat and big field at the junction of Jalan Kayu and Yio Chu Kang Road. It has an unobstructed view of the East and very ideal as an observation site near my house...
For those who live in Hougang, Sengkang or ang mo kio, worth a look...

From the Nov issue of Astronomy Magazine, the Enke comet , which has thr shortest TAT of 3+ years will pass through the summer triangle in Nov 03.
Unfortunately, it will likely be a blurred spot with no visible tail...

Starting to get some replies coming back from my posts in soc.culture.singapore. Realised how ignorant some of those people out there are about astronomy. One asked me why waste time since Mars is gone and will have to wait many years to see it again...

Yup, once your scope has mold, regardless of how minor, its selling price is practically nil. Since its a school scope, I assumed you must have bought it from Astroscience in the Science Centre , so logically, you should go back to them for repair but be advised they will charge a fairly high price ...
