TASOS?
Hi all, I'm recently considering to join the more established people and communities of astronomy in Singapore, of which the biggest is, of course, The Astronomical Society of Singapore. Are there any current active members on this page that can give me a good opinion and overview on this community?...

[URGENT] WTB: Perpendicular finderscope
Hi all, recently bought a Shywatcher Heritage 130P, but I realised that the RDF provided is incredibly difficult to use. I'm therefore looking for a small to mid-sized perpendicular finderscope that can help to ease things. Looking for a quick deal, we'll talk about the price. If you have an offer, ...

Re: WTB: Filters
I see, thank you for the links! Any similar ones for filters that are not too expensive? Or maybe any physical stores selling telescopic filters here in SG that you know of?

WTB: Filters
Hi, I'm looking for 1.25" filters for observations. Some more specific ones I'm looking for include the Optolong Moon and Skyglow filters, Svbony filters, Ostara filters or any other similar moon OR skyglow filters (do not have to be 2-in-1). Anyone that has these please leave a comment below o...

Re: Andromeda Galaxy with Binoculars
If you can mount your bino on a firm tripod, it's possible to see the moons using a 14x50 binos. Orion is naked eye actually, so on a bino it would be quite clear. As long as the sky is reasonably good. Thanks for the reply! Well as much as I'd like to have dark skies too, getting out of the intens...

Re: Andromeda Galaxy with Binoculars
Thanks for the replies! By the way, are Jupiter's 4 moons and the Orion nebula visible through such a binocular? I have tried in Jupiter before, and all I saw was a tiny disk of Jupiter, without her moons. As for Orion Nebula, I have not tried due to recent cloudy mornings, but just want to ask for ...

Re: Andromeda Galaxy with Binoculars
Thanks to both of your suggestions! I'll definitely consider them. Am I just expecting to see a faint light patch in the sky? I've managed to image it before, but just don't know what I'm expecting to see.

Andromeda Galaxy with Binoculars
Hi all, I'm new to astronomy, and I recently bought a pair of 10x40 binoculars off Carousell. It seems pretty decent and has led to to see quite a lot of fainter stars and asterisms I never thought I'd see here in SG. So for the last two nights I turned my attention to looking for the Andromeda Gala...

Re: WTB: Looking for a descent Go-To mount
On second thoughts, if you have a non-GoTo telescope mount that can take the above weights, I'll take it for $100. Thanks!
