Basically, film cameras research has reached it's peak, can't really blame them. I would personally go for mechnical cameras though :D.

No way there is going to have a stepdown ring that size as there are too much difference.

I am getting the 49-48mm rings as I will be using it on my prime lens, the 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 100mm all using 49mm filters :D.

What body are you using? maybe I can lend you my lenses for your purpose?
