Gary,
Impressive pre-review of the unit! Even with pics of the demo booth. Really no horse run in the year of the horse!
I like the fact that you bought in order to support Kino.

Hi guys! Long time no see. Over the weekend I chanced upon the Gakkan Realstar Planetarium at Taka Kinokuniya, and for slightly less than $50 (20% disc.), it really exceeded my expectations. It's a self-assembly kit with a separate brochure with English instructions. Took some effort to assemble (9...

How is the sky at Genting and cameron?
Hi guys,
Wonder how many of you have tried stargazing at places like Genting Highlands or Cameron Highlands? Considering these places pretty high in altitude and probably little light pollution, are they great for astronomy? Do they have many clear nights in a year?
Thanks

@VnrSnr - Thanks for sharing your experiences and bringing in this dob to share the views with others. Hope to look through one someday. Gary, not sure who is holding that 8" Portaball now. I sold it to Chee Chien, who of course later brought in the 12.5" Portaball. I think CC sold the 8&...
