i stayed at 9th floor, although above the street lamp, this part of the sky still suffer quite a bit of light pollution, may be because the surface brightness of it is quite okay unlike objects like M101, which often can only get the core. Hi Orly, sorry for the delay, i can't type well, it's using Canon 500D IR-mod, ISO 1600, 18 shots X 1 min each , captured with EOS live view camera s/w with the long exp noise reduction on, so it took twice as long, but i find that it is easier to do post processing later with Nebulosity2 & get ...

" in AP, the mount is everything" this has been clearly stated by Orly & is also what i believed in all the time.

As last night i we eager to test out this GP2 head newly acquired from our friend here despite the very cloudy condition, result has been satisfactory (just for that little opening time). Orly you are right, need to accumulate more samples though (can only do it next round, when the sky is better ..)

Due to downsizing of my Vixen GPD2 mount to GP2 Mount, i need to change my 11 lb to 8 lb, got 1 from Robin just now.

Nice pics & nice scope, btw if my C6 (LARGEST SCOPE i own Today) put next to ur C14 will it most probably look like a finder scope to main scope ? This imaginative scenario reminds me of one Chinese saying: "Small woo met Big woo" .. tks for sharing.
