i would like to join in the comet hunting...
never caught any comets or meteors before (that includes the leonids during dont-know-when)
but can we do without any equipment?

there's one bright star i see every morning (or at least some mornings), at around 6.00am.
i was looking south and its around 60-80 degrees from the south horizon.
can anyone identify it?

my idea of high is anything greater than 6
but isnt low f-ratio reflectors hard to collimate?

hi people....
i know only a little on astronomy, so i'm definitely a newbie....
can someone enlighten me on the following:
1. any good reflectors with a high f-ratio (portability is important)
2. how do we align our telescopes when we are at the equator?
