Yeah it was!! Is it really venus? I mean, usually it's brilliant white so i sort of hyperventilated when i saw i thinking i discovered some supernova.. scared 2 three year old kids :(

I know this is digressing from the lunar eclipse but I spotted this incredibly bright object around the west at around 7 pm... Anyone know what it was?
