Re: My astrophotography 2021
The Lepus, a constellation fits well into the 50mm len's FOV. A notable star is R Leporis, one of the super deep-red stars. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ACtC-3ee5CkUkXU8yncA1Sx0eTJEUOvyR8GkpYR50k4i-iGsodjgnbyre8z56WkjZZc1zJ1zjk9AS08QCwurlQSPf5ODRSnFwF9YHzJkmiDem6GhMhPv1sSB3jxWOSQBEteNY2F7sQe...

Re: My astrophotography 2021
Before all these deep sky takes, I actually tried to capture some small size constellations/asterisms through the Sigma Art 50mmF1.4. The clouds are clearly present even in the short subs. But the images are to a certain extend saved by the soft-focus filter in place. Canopus, the 2nd brightest star...

Re: My astrophotography 2021
NGC2516, a.k.a. Southern Beehive, lies further south. Only in hindsight (postprocessing), I realised that the optics got some particles in the light path and created an irregular background. Had to sacrifice the dim stars to make them disappear apparently. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ACtC-3...

Re: My astrophotography 2021
Feb 7-8 saw another clear night with very thin high clouds. Headed for ECP again for the unblocked view facing south. A take of M46-M47, inspired by Celeron787's recent effort. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ACtC-3fH6KI8udUPzJIB-euaPJJ9fSKW4APVVU_0uX-pYFSXrdyHepmSDow-im_MLuEPg2pVDsMT8KqBvW9aA5...

Re: M46, M47 Star Clusters and a Planetary Nebula
Is the Redcat your new toy? Beautiful stars and the nebula! I am a fan of star images more than of nebulosity ones. And they are easier to capture than nebulosities (including galaxies) from a light-polluted city. Always enjoy viewing these images in a dark environment to appreciate the true beauty....

Re: My astrophotography 2021
Has anyone watched the lunar occultation of beta 1&2 Scorpii? A rare phenomenon for two reasons: --occultation of a bright double star -- crescent moon -- morning's clear sky -- particularly in Singapore -- LOL Unfortunately, I missed the moment of entering occultation when I was sound asleep. B...

Re: My astrophotography 2021
Hmm. A galaxy photo from a remote observatory. I am not sure if it is my photography or only the product of my post-processing. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ACtC-3e4vjZpuBUpvyBL0J0ELWKAobIeG8wtBdzw40Y1Qi9bLgn4JNuVMZQc_gzHV5qtBw4iHR-h4L0ay2VzJd170GUqpNxMRpNWKYaggvuP4K7cZSljRleztMIBARmEdAcWcT8...
