WTS :Skywatcher Star Adventurer Astrophotography Set [SOLD]
I've a full set of star adventurer astrophotography set with counterweights and all. The set is black in color. I bought it about 3 months ago from McGill. This sells for 600 bucks there. I'll let go of it at 450 dollars. Just picked up a Nexstar set so cannot justify keeping both. Cosmetically in g...

Re: WTB : Celestron Nexstar 6SE
I plan to use a 0.5X focal reducer so that helps a little. I have been trying to catch some DSOs using video astronomy, and have been able to just barely see the Ring Nebula. However, it took me hours trying to get it into field of view because I was trying to star hop and there weren't too many ref...

Re: WTB : Celestron Nexstar 6SE
I'll also consider the Meade ETX 125PE, for, say, 4-500 bucks? I want something that has goto. I've been trying to star hop but finding DSOs is proving terribly difficult in our light polluted skies. If anyone has ideas I'll appreciate them too!

Re: Wtb Celestron Nexstar 6se
Thanks for the heads-up! I'd rather not buy such items from the US, and over eBay, though. Never know what might happen during shipping.

Mallincam to lend?
Hi, Does anyone have a Mallincam that I can borrow for a week or two? I am considering buying one from the US but want to see what it is capable of in our neck of the woods before committing. The model I am looking at is the Micro-EX or Micro Super, though I wouldn't mind testing any model just to g...

Light Pollution!
Hi all, I am interested in bringing the issue of light pollution to the authorities. I wonder if anyone has done this before? I am also writing for an undergrad international journal and will consider writing something based on the response I get from the authorities. In order for this to be product...

Rare Clear Skies
Hey! It's a rare clear night. If you haven't looked out the window today, you might want to consider taking your telescope out for some observations. :) With my naked eyes I was able to spot Antares, Jupiter and no less than 20 stars (unfortunately only a small portion of the sky was not interrupted...
