Re: To plunge or not to plunge!? The new telescope dilemma
Steve supercharges both MT and MT-PRO, I just recently received my super-charged MT-PRO from him. Actually not much diff between MT and MT-PRO, just a beefier tripod at the end of the day. If using the C11 is nearing the payload, then I would suggest you step-down on the scope or step-up on another ...

Re: T-adapter connect to Canon
Check out astrobargains.com (local) or optcorp.com (overseas, USA) if you can wait for it.
If not, just post a WTB (Want To Buy) at the Buy and Sell forum for a pre-owned one.

Re: TEC Telescopes
Wow great! The TEC 140 is the only one that has no flourite element. Would also like to know if the flourite element really justifies the price.
Thank you for your feedback.

EPUB is the most common format for e-Books. If you use a Sony Reader, a Nook, or an iPad you can download the EP...

Re: iOptron MiniTower Pro
Only after the turbocharging by trapezium telescopes can it work in EQ mode reliably. The weight is supported by one of the legs that is in that direction, so its pretty ok.
Have loaded my 8" SCT on it and its rock stable. Will try to do some astropics when the weather permits.

Re: iOptron MiniTower Pro
The mount arrived 2 weeks ago, but I was preparing an overseas trip with the family and finally the overseas trip so no much time to play with it. I also had to make a trip down to Yong Sheng for some screws to adapt the wedge to the MT-PRO tripod. And I must say that the results looks pretty good. ...

I have an Astroslew for sale and it can carry 20+kg with no problems.
Only thing is that you will have to supply the tripod and the dovetail clamps yourself.
