Yeah, sounds interesting, I haven't seen one in the making. But I'm havin' exams now and can't afford much time even into observations...

If someone is going to make one, could he post in this forum so we all know and can go 'chou re nao'? :P

Hehe, nice. Learn with that first, try to recognise different stars, so you will have less problems when using a scope... Anyway Harlequin, yeah, you haven't replied about bino mounts, are there any in your shop? I'd like to have one too... But my budget would be puny... My binos are so heavy I can ...

Hm... Good point you have there VinSnr, but I think opening up a 'newbie' forum could solve this problem? The forum list is still too long as I think... oops, for the above... I meant if you only have 1K, I'd rather have a pair of good BINOS...

Haha, well said, but anyway for a good enough telescope a few K is still needed, i don't find spotting scopes any much better off than a pair of good binos... I hav...

Whoa... as you describe it I feel my luck is running out... any more advice? Or our school astro would have to ram into the school budget for more scopes... and risk getting shut down!

Celestron C8 repair

Hi all, this is my first post in Singastro since i joined about 2 months ago... I have a problem. My school astro is using a Celestron C8, but it has recently 'acquired' some mould on the circumference of the lens... Our school is having year-end exams now so it's a good time to service, since no on...
