Re: Tampines Observation Session Tonight 26 Oct 2012

The observation on friday night was great. No doubt it is hot and humid and was 50% cloudy, managed to see a few DSO like M31, M34, M45, M42, double clusters amd Hyades and perhaps even M103 in cassopeia. If not for the moon and the cloud, it should have been times better. Anyway, wx and rcj, thanks...

Re: Tampines Observation Session Tonight 26 Oct 2012

Hi WX,

Good to hear that you are back into the active observing mode again. I do hope that the field is dry due to the fact that we are having torrential rains for the past few days. Might drop by to take a look.

Re: WTS: 2 telescopes and acessories

The astroscan I revise the price to 380sgd, negotiable. Good beginner scope for ppl on a tight budget.

I am qlso re-putting up my nexstar5i for sale at 830sgd negotiable. It is the older version but it is still usable. Also a great scope for beginner to immediate level operator.

PM me if keen

Re: Fires in northern Sumatra, Indonesia.

Well, you got to admit that Indonesia is a very big and diversed nation, thus it is very hard to enforce and prevent the people from doing slash and burn agriculture. If you are a farmer, will you waste your time and energy to manually cut down the trees one by one? I seriously doubt so. [smilie=con...

Re: Kampung Bekok Astronomy Trip Report

Hi all,

Thanks for the compliments. The skies were very clear for both days. The scopes belong to Gary, we just went there with binos to sweep the milky way [smilie=cheer.gif] [smilie=admire.gif]

Re: This is just so wrong.....

Hey hey don't be so bad ok, at least they got a warning sign to prevent ppl from staring at the sun using the "telescope" But honestly, if you were to break the bino into two then u can get 2 scopes right? Think of the M42, M45 and the M6 and M7 that you can spend hours gazing through this...
