The Sphinx is an awesome mount from experience, but will take a team of beefed up water polo players to carry. As for the VC200L, collimation is a headache, and is POOR for visual. A mak is advisable, but will result in soft stars due to the >33% central obstruction. As Ming Lee and other profession...

Welcome to the club of apo users buddy. Try the Orion premium on sale in astrobargains. I will be getting that next year if I don't get a mak newt first.

Or, you can go to staropticsscientific.com. Prices there can't get any lower.

10inch 'ONLY'. haha.

The webcam he used is a DMK, costs lots of money, But nice pictures.
I'd rather paste my own astrophotos on a wall than just print out something from the web.... Gives me a sense of satisfaction and pride.

Nice one... My friend has a 300mv laser that can burn through pants... Lol. Should we or should we not make the testing for infrared energy emitted by green laser pointers mandatory for lasers used in astro clubs or in star parties?

DSS is not designed to bring out nebulosity nor post-process images. Thus, the random dots.

I stacked 20 20 sec shots, ISO 640 (you don't wanna take in the light pollution).

Why not send me a raw of the stacked image to y05hci145@gmail.com, so I an take a look at it?
