Skywatcher AZ EQ5 mount
Hi I looked at some youtube videos of this mount and it seems like a good mid level mount. Just wanted to ask here if anyone is using this mount in Singapore and how does it work. The specs do say that it supports latitudes from 0-90 degrees, but some feedback from users would be good. I am a visual...

Re: William Optics Low Latitude Base
I havent heard anything.. all I saw from some youtubers was that the wedge may allow additional 1-2 degrees below the markings, but wont come down to 1deg. IMHO most folks in singapore are using star adventurer wedge which works with a star adventurer or another star guider. But it does not work wit...

WTB : Celestron 8 Edge HD
Hi
If you have Celestron 8 Edge HD or 9.25 Edge HD to let go, please drop me a message at nine4Five6 Seven4One4. I have been totally blown over by the views from standard Celestron 8 and would like to upgrade.
cheers
Andy

From cloudynights and other forums, I understand that this can be used on EQ mode as well, but I am not sure which w...

Mobile Phone photography
Missed the lunar eclipse due to clouds, but yesterday it was a clear day and moon was visible from my patio. so took some pics with my samsung galaxy s9+ placing it close to a binocular, all hand held. not very sharp, but probably the best a mobile phone can get to that mag. Moon 1.jpeg Another view...

Re: AZ Mount Options - Nexstar Evolution vs Ioptron Az Mount pro
thanks Bergkamp.. good to hear from someone who has used both. The ioptron "level and go" option seems to be have some very favourable reviews on cloudynights and it certainly caught my eyes. The mount has built in GPS too. some videos on youtube make it appear that the slewing noise on Az...

Re: AZ Mount Options
narrowed down to Ioptron Az Mount Pro and with some hints from one of the forumers Nexstar Evolution. Ioptron - The mount seems to be getting very good reviews in terms of its built in GPS and wifi, quick and accurate self alignment and with the right tripod ability to handle two OTAs on both sides....
