Re: My Astrophotography Journey

Hi Remus
Thanks for your tip. Will definitely try them out. Are you referring to the Microsoft Image Composite Editor? I'm a Mac user.. cannot run this program... will try out other softwares to see if there are better ones.

Re: MERSING Expeditions (Next Trip: 20-22 MAR 2015) Info/Rep

Was there in Feb... Took my first pictures of milky way and startrails. Have done some post processing. Please feel free to comment so that I know what to improve on. :)

Due to the limited file size, the resolution of the startrails appears pixelated.

http://www.optcorp.com/vx-3909-half-pillar-for-vixen-great-polaris-mounts.html Heyjojos: this is an example of a pier, although I'm not sure if it can fit the VX mount.., it fits between your mount and tripod legs, and raises the mount so that the counterweight bar won't hit the legs when doing pol...

Re: Celestron Advanced VX Mount

Hi I wrote to Celestron on this and they told me I have to build a pier to for the mount to sit on... otherwise the counterweight would run into the tripod legs. I believe this should work... Is that true? If so, how do i build a pier? :) They also mentioned that all their German equatorial mounts n...

Hi
I understand that a 8" scope will certainly be better since it has better light gathering capacity.

I will be getting a Extender Q to have higher magnification but am not sure if it still be limited to by the scope size?

I intend to progress to AP in time...

I'm using this as a main scope. Had wanted to get a FSQ106N (resale) but couldn't find one. So thinking of settling for a Sky90. Have seen through some scope before but never on a Sky90. Is there a big difference between this and FSQ106 in terms of visual? Will certainly be observing from Spore and ...

Hi Guys
