I think you might not be able to see it for different reasons. therotically, u should be able to see it as the amount of light emitted by the nebula captured by your eyes should be much higher than the amount of light captured on a long exposure film. However, i think it would be too bright to be se...

I personally feel that it is a refreshing idea to organize an astrophotography competition. I mean, take a look at the recently concluded NTU-NUS astrochallenge, students are expected to know a lot of things. Among the things that they were tested on, there were mathematics, physics, chemistry, biol...

Hi guys, jiayi here. Turf city was great. It has been a while since i tried to find M4 with my 4.5inch reflector in other parts of mainland Singapore, and couldn't find it due to light pollution even without the moon. However, at yesterday session, i just point my scope to the area and there it was....

Looking for a Goto mount

Hi all I'm currently using a celestron 4.5 inch reflector which comes with a CG-4 mount. I'm thinking of getting a goto mount for the reflector but all the mounts i had found are designed for much larger and heavier scopes (Thus more expensive and heavier as well.). Wondering if any of you can recom...

Wow. that was interesting. Did anyone realised that some of the backgrd stars didn't even moved. And i'm kind of interested in the random thing that looks like lightning. Can anyone tell me what that is?
