WEll...the heritage dob is a widefield scope good for large star clusters, Orion neb, Lagoon neb, E.Carina etc. whereas the 5"SCT has higher focal length for smaller DSOs and planetary viewing. You can still fit in the Orion Nebula with a low enough power 2in eyepiece. My 2 cents. Regards Junwei

I dont have one to sell but, Is the SLT a makustov? A binoviewer extends more lightpath (or focal length) to your telescope, you will realise that with 2 x 25mm ep in the binoviewer, the view is magnified too :)

richard: Lucky this time round. the earlier 2016 trips I went (May and June) had so so weather and haze from local mersing fires.
