LXD 75
Hi Rizal, Glad to know you get clear skies often. Here in Singapore that is a rare commodity. I have to drive 195 Km to Mersing for a meaningful observation. It is true that there is a heavy backlog for the LXD 75, basically that is the only reasonably good GOTO mount you can get at that price. My m...

LXD 75
Hi Weixing, ------------- See the review... I wonder why you get another 8" scope?? ----------------- Actually I was keen to get only the mount , but it was impossible without buying scope complete. The price difference between 6 inch and 8 inch was very small. Then I was chicken for buying the...

Comet Machholz
Hi Weixing, You are very observant and got real sharp eyes. I failed to notice the hole till you pointed it out. I will check up the other shots and corrector lense tonight. As Matthew correctly mentioned it has to be some dirt. Mostly I do imaging from a make shift mouning base fitted on the balcon...

Comet Macholz
Hi Rich,
I managed to take about 30 shots today. I do not know whether stacking or some post processing will bringout tail. However the sky condition was not very good today.
Sure , Matthew can produce far better images with his modified Canon and expertise.

Planets Beyond Pluto
Hi, In fact there may be many more beyond Pluto. But astronomers have not decided whether these can be classified as planets. Even Plutos status is in doubt There is a good article in Nov issue of Discover Magazine called "Beyond Pluto". Link as follows http://www.discover.com/issues/nov-0...

Stagnant LX-90
I know the Guy mentioned in the posting of Rich ,whose LX-90 will not even move when purchased. But this was no way a fault of "the overseas vendor". Just bad luck . In fact , "the overseas vendor" helped as best as they can in overcoming this inherent defect (a defective PCB) an...
