OMG! Did you realize who is this guy in July 2009 S&T??

See page 72 in July 2009 Sky & Telescope magazine. I am not letting the cat out of the bag yet. I know that someone will recall this guy.

Wow! I'm impressed!

Here is my 2 cents For just visual observation, get 120mm refractor on AZ3 mount. (~SGD1K) - you can upgrade this setup with better scope if you dislike the achromat 120mm refractor. For imaging, you can get 80mm ED with EQ3 goto. (~SGD3K) - you can add autoguider and guide scope for long exposure l...

Re: Setup for D70 DSLR astrophotography with manual guiding

Hi all, i am starting out astrophotography using nikon d70 with 300 mm lens and a 60mm guidescope. The mount is EQ mount with RA motor only and no autoguiding. The camera and guidescope is mounted on a side-by-side plate. I am also learning how to do drift alignment with the guidescope. I am trying...

Wow! Fantastic image! Very nice image scale, must be imaging at beyond 1000mm FL I guess. Your tracking is spot on! What mount do you use? [smilie=good-job.gif] Thanks for the nice comment. I'm sorry I missed out the mount info. I am using EQ6 goto mount. I am using a cheap 80mm achromat refractor ...

M8...argh..not again

Just want to share an image of M8, I took recently. This is my new attempt to improve data on my images. I have taken on two different nights the data for H-a and RGB. The H-a image was taken on 16th May 2009 using my Canon 300D (mod) and Baader Ha filter. A total of 16 images with 300 seconds expos...

very nice. I like your spot on focusing and guiding. The stars are very sharp and round.

What kind of guiding you are using?

standalone autoguiding

I was wondering if anyone interested in this new products?

LVI
Orion

I can get it for the price of USD550, which is USD50 less than orion's.

I was told that you can guide with mag8 star with 80mm guidescope. And setup is less than 10mins, fresh out of the box.

Very nice composition. I'll try this style of imaging soon. Mine looked dull with the cluster centered.

I like your colour balance too.

Mmm.....did you edit your stars to make them 'spiked'?
