The scope has been in the market close to half a year now. Weixing is correct. SW website is the last to update their new product. And they didn't list down all their products. I ordered one from SW three months ago and arrived last month. It is still in the box. I have not test out the scope yet, a...

Congratulation.

Another great image coming from you. Look like you were very successful in your recent trip to LNO.

I like your colour balance on this photo. You have preserve the colour of the stars very well. And the tracking was right on. BTW, what mount were you using?

This wide field photo is simply awesome. The light pollution is very minimal, and seems to add beauty to the photo rather than destroying it. It helps to show the outline of the temple (?) in the foreground. I can't really tell if that photo was taken in dusk or simply because there is light polluti...

Thanks for the advice! I got a few questions - 1) Drift alignment using live view - I suppose I can switch on the grid function to do this. Do I rotate from the eyepiece holder part of the flip mirror assembly to achieve this? Not from the T-ring right? 2) Long exposure in light polluted areas - If...

Between exposure allow 30 seconds for the camera to cool down. Does 30 seconds gap produce significantly less noise?? I usually don't wait for so long... may be only 10 second for the DSLR to save the image because we usually don't have long period of clear sky... especially this year... still didn...

A very good try. The focus is right on. Next step would be fine tuning your drift alignment. With Sphinx, I am sure you can get about 1 minute unguided shot. If you don't have illuminated recticle to do the drift alignment, you can try doing it the digital way. This is easy to do since your camera h...
