how about start with sky scout and a good sky chart? http://www.celestron.com/skyscout/new/features.php Quite an expensive gadget though (USD399!). I will wait for a while, listen to the feedback from the first batch of users. Are you planning to get one yourself? If so, I will admire yours first :).
