I don't think the dot is a moon shadow, there's another one to the left/west of GRS at the same belt.

sorry I don't know exactly how to make it perpendicular. I would try to "level" everything while carefully attaching the parts together. Btw, just a thought regarding the black foam, I think it could act as an insulator thus making the sensor to produce more noise due to heat :twisted: :) ...

maybe your black film canister is not perpendicular with the sensor? and "off axis"?

Hi Tachyon, try unsharp mask with "small" amount and "big" radius and play around with the slider.

The most important thing is the data though, if the center is too bright, could be too much gamma on the capture setting (I shot 0-10% gamma range).
