Yup Rich, good thing that they're on the opposite side of each other now hehe :)

I don't think the dot is a moon shadow, there's another one to the left/west of GRS at the same belt.

Thanks Jia Hao and Canopus. By the way, comparing the image with my May 24th, the "right" / eastern white oval seems to have moved a bit closer. I wonder if Red Jr. will fuse with those 2 small ovals in the future :P I finally had a chance to observe/image GRS last night, it's really cool ...

Hi guys, Finally had a chance to image Jupiter again, I was 3 days late from the opposition. It was the same side of Jupiter as my May 24th image <sigh> :P, I wanted to wait for the GRS but I called it a night since I need some rest for my first scuba dive the next day. sorry I don't know exactly how to make it perpendicular. I would try to "level" everything while carefully attaching the parts together. Btw, just a thought regarding the black foam, I think it could act as an insulator thus making the sensor to produce more noise due to heat :twisted: :) ...

maybe your black film canister is not perpendicular with the sensor? and "off axis"?

Hi Tachyon, try unsharp mask with "small" amount and "big" radius and play around with the slider.

The most important thing is the data though, if the center is too bright, could be too much gamma on the capture setting (I shot 0-10% gamma range).
