Need Stargazing Location in Aus

Post by Appleboy »

Hey guys!

I will be going to Sydney next week for 5 days and I am wondering if anyone know any good place (near or not so far from Sydney) where I can see spectacular stars with just my naked eyes?

I will be renting a car there so transportation isn't a problem! Thanks alot!

Just head to Blue Mountains and spend a night or so there. 2 to 3 hrs drive from Sydney, good scenery and should be quite dark at night.
Clear skies please...

@Appleboy - Do consider bringing at least a binocular along no matter how cheap or low end. Better still, a small telescope or spotter scope that can be mounted on a tripod since I assume you or your friends will be bringing a tripod along for the cameras. Get the best value out of your trip! :)

It is how many people, less fortunate than you, got to look through it."
