Can really see how good the quality of the air there. So clear, it's like totally transparent even for 20km away. So even with some light pollution (ie the moon, check out the first scene), the zenith would still be pretty dark.... Of course that is already a pretty dark site to begin with.

At my Indonesian dark site that i mentioned (a grey zone), it is very dark when you go to the Ulu areas/fringe areas of the small town or of course the very frequent mati lampu/blackout....but then transparency is not that good due to the burning of rubbish there not to mention land clearing by burning.

Dunno when Singapore will get islandwide mati lampu.... Last Friday 1900h the MRT E-W screwed up, this morning Kranji St also screwed up. SMRT COI hearing started liao...

I had the good fortune to witness this on my recent trip. When the burst of lights started their dance, the word awesome just doesn't cut it.

My pleasure Gary. Alot of the nicer pics I took were not as good though as the lens I used did not have an infinity setting and the star were all out of focused.
