Just completed the blog about Sir Patrick Moore's visit to Singapore in Dec 1989:

oh... didn't know he has passed on. still vaguely remembered when he was at British Council giving a talk. brought along his <The Astronomy Encyclopedia> that night, intended for his signature, but in the end was too shy/timid to approach. :(

Thanks to Beng Yew for giving me permission to share this rare photo publicly. Hope it will bring back some fond memories of this great man and make us ponder what can still be done to further promote astronomy in Singapore.
