Hello all,
Have anyone gone to Ipoh to star gaze?
And is it suitable to?

Hi guys.
I am heading up to Ipoh this weekend.
Is it worth it to lug my Astro Equipment on the trip?
Regards,
Idris

Bro,
That will depend on you. Do you have the capacity and energy to bring the biggest aperture scope you can afford?
I don't have any experience with Ipoh though.

Hi Richard,

I usually take the NS6Se on flights.

I might downgrade to the C90 this time.

I am not that confident of the sky conditions.

Well.. I will let everyone know how it goes.

Idris

Even 90mm can do wonders in dark skies. My ETX90 was fantastic in Mersing on my first trip there where the sky was virtually cloudless the entire night. But to make it less dependent on very clear skies, I think a 5 incher would be better.

Hi guys.
Back from my trip.
Unfortunately I did not see a single star through out the 5 days there.
Overcast all the way but not much rain...
Well It is probably due to the season.
