At last found SMC with the 25x100 bino under S'pore sky:lol: , a small blur patch, 15 deg lower and to the right of Achernar. However. still can't find LMC.

Nice job Clifford, SMC was supposedly 15 deg from the horizon to the south? Must have fought of alot of skyglow to spot it?!?!?!

Once you found it, it is quite easy to locate it again.

Haha cliff, someone should go capture it's image..... Then compare it with Smc taken from Austrailian skies or smth lol.

Oh my... Cliff, where did you spot smc from?

The last time I saw SMC and LMC was in NZ... miss those days... ^_^

Hi,
I try to observe SMC in Singapore before... I know it should be in the field of view, but just can't see it. :(

Anyway, the 47 Tucanae (the second largest and second brightest globular cluster in the skies), which is just beside the SMC, is very nice... :) You should be able to see it too as it's big (nearly as big as Omega Centauri or the full Moon size), bright (in DSO standard) and very close to SMC (should be in the same field of view as SMC using binocular).

Well done, Clifford.
Must be very hard to see from up there!!!!!

Looks like we are very spoiled here in Australia.
I just can't imagine what the view would be Singapore :(
