Every year same story;every dry season same story--in spite of one after another promise that they will improve and next time no more 'forest ' fire.Actually,I suspect they are burning rubbish and burn the rubbish dried by the dry spell.Really sick of it after ALL these years.No improvement.

Well, you got to admit that Indonesia is a very big and diversed nation, thus it is very hard to enforce and prevent the people from doing slash and burn agriculture. If you are a farmer, will you waste your time and energy to manually cut down the trees one by one? I seriously doubt so. [smilie=confused.gif]
