Stargate is also my one time favourite, but they seems to have halted their production.

Have anyone thought about Battlestar Galactica? A very old show that have almost date back to early 1990s? It has been shown on Channel 5 but i'm not sure what time is it.

Don't forget the classic "Forbidden Planet". Black and White, made in the 60s and stared Leslie Nielson (Naked Gun) as a suave space ship captain.
The series sound track consisted of sinewaves and bleeps but that show won an academy award for special effects. I like the scene where the monster attacked the space ship. This is also the movie where robbie the robot first appeared.

A classic! The story took place on a planet around Altair...
